Trip to the Coast

I headed east for a change to visit a friend down near Galveston. I loaded up Matilda and put Pepper in the front seat and off we went on Saturday morning. I fought head-winds of over 15 mph in BOTH directions. My gas mileage was pitiful and it's made worse by the gas prices. OUCH! They have gone crazy the last week or so and it's expected to climb higher. Suck it up or stay home. Guess which one I chose? It was a good getaway and perfect timing before all the Spring Break-ers showed up.
