Hitting the Trails

I took my dog out to Lake Somerville State Park, Birch Creek Unit for an afternoon outing. It was a little breezy, but the sun felt good and we got our steps in. 🐕 Use your Texas State Parks Pass to get the daily entrance fees waived. Save on camping and on items in the park store.

We parked at the Eagle Point Loop trailhead and walked that trail, then continued on the Bluestem Bend Trail that travels along the outskirts of the Yaupon camping area.

After the trail, we drove through by the boat ramp and day use area. Bluebonnets are blooming! It was a good day to be outdoors after all the cold and dreary days.
