Camping with a group of friends

Friday, Sept 4

Started raining about the time I was ready to head out. Finally got to the site about 5:15 pm. Backed it in like a boss! I didn't even have to pull forward to straighten out. We went over to friends' camper near the store and had a fish fry. It was delicious! One of the girls brought out a couple pies and one of them was a wonderful blackberry pie. 😋

Saturday, Sept 5

Some friends made breakfast and others made the cowboy coffee. We got in the boat about 11 am to head over to the Trump Boat Parade.  It was awesome! There were over 300 boats and it was a sight to see for sure. It took about an hour for us to make it from Overlook to Big Creek and that's as far as we went. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the water. We got a little rain shower, but then we were back out in it. Saturday night was BYOSteak night as usual. LOTS of steaks for that big group of us. Some folks joined us for the day only. That pit saw lots of beef that night!

Sunday, Sept 6

We did breakfast at my camper. It was a nice day and we were back down at the water again. Some of the adults got to lay on the floating mat for a change. Got a nice amount of sun. We had tacos for supper and that was easy and nice for a change. I rode on the Mule with some friends and we rode all around in the back trails. After the daytime folks left, we called it an early night. Too much sun!

Monday, Sept 7

Different group of friends made breakfast and then we started packing up. I hitched up about 11:30 and headed for the dump station. One camper was finishing up when I pulled up and then about 5 campers came in behind me. Good timing! Got home and unhooked. Unloaded a few things and went to take a decent shower. Big Creek is good for group camping and having all the Littles join us for a day in the lake.
